Road of the Wood

Culture story and natural multiple

Cross-border project – Paths of wood – cultural history and natural diversity

The alpine wild rivers were used for centuries as traffic arteries, linking the everyday life of many people across national borders. This linking element of the natural diversity of forest- and river-habitats as well as the related cultural history forms the thematic heart of the project, that is funded by the European Union. The so far underrepresented complex of topics wood-use-forest-ecology shall be comprehensively valued in a time travel and made usable for the tourism.
